What is Personal Information?

Collected by Us: When visiting our website or utilizing our services, a specific subset of information is automatically gathered. Our servers capture technical data regarding your browser or device, which is transmitted during website visits or when advertisements are displayed or measured via our services. These server logs compile details such as web requests, internet protocol (IP) addresses or device identifiers, browser types, referring/exiting pages, and URLs, click counts, domain names, viewed pages, and similar data. Cookies are employed by us to collect this information across websites, mobile apps, and devices over time. These utilities assist in perception counting, visitor recognition, and delivering analytics on the efficacy of advertisements. Additionally, we utilize Google Analytics (or similar analytics providers) to gain insights into website usage.

Obtained from other sources: We obtain data from various sources to validate locations of places individuals use, categorising these locations e.g., points of interest, businesses, residential etc. and defining their boundaries. We also obtain data via advertising networks, publicly available sources, websites, and services. Data collected includes personal data when you choose to provide it during registration e.g. name, email, or phone number, where the decision to provide data is optional.

Blistering Developers does not knowingly accept, process, or sell any personal information related to minors. In the unlikely event we discover that personal information of a child under 18 has been inadvertently collected, as a leading priority, we will take immediate action to delete such data from our records.

How We Collect Data

We collect personal information when you provide that information to us directly via phone, email, in-writing, or in-person to enable us to provide you with our services, for you to engage in and use our services including marketing endeavours.

We also collect personal data from publicly available sources and third parties to enable us to provide services to our clients.

How We Store Data

We are based in Melbourne, Australia and store all our data locally in Melbourne. We apply multi-layered security, using password protected equipment and software, ensuring files are secured behind firewall protections, and include measured access controls to data. Files are encrypted when transferred and done using secure protocols such as https (TLS). Any data that is no longer required as per the purposes listed in this policy, is either de-identified or deleted.

As a digital agency, we work with service providers based in a range of locations including outside of Australia or service providers who store their data in locations outside of Australia. Where data is sent outside of Australia, we strive to ensure we work with providers that commit to similarly high standards in storing data confidentially and securely.

On receiving your email, we will respond with an acknowledgment within 24 hours. We'll then contact you via your preferred method within 21 days to confirm details relating to your request/query and request details for a 100-point check to verify your identity as a measure to ensure the released data is being sent to the appropriate, verified entity. Once verified, and where there are no other outstanding considerations, we will promptly deliver you access to your personal information in the way you asked to access it, if it is reasonable and practical to do so. In the rare event, we are unable to give you access to your personal information in the way you requested, we will do our very best to promptly give you access in a way that meets both ours and your needs.

In certain instances, in accordance with Australian privacy law, we may need to deny an access request if we assess:

  • adequate documentation has not been provided to verify your identity.
  • that giving you access may endanger the life, health, or safety of any individual, or endanger public health or safety.
